Based on our meeting Saturday, here are the basics.

We are targeting young adults in the Georgia State area between the ages of 18-25.

We narrowed demographics.

We decided we were going to do subgroups.

We narrowed the topic.

Defined Gender Roles.

We decided were going to incorporate a content analysis for comparison.

As far as the literature review goes, each person is writing a BRIEF paragraph or two explaining one article. This will then come together to create the literature review.

Also, once you have written your part for the literature review--please post the file for the artile under "Articles of Interest."

Great!!! We're making progress! See ya Monday with your magazine!!!

Here are the basic demographics.

Age

Ethnicity

Gender

(Sexual Orientation is up in the air).

Definition of Gender Role:

The pattern of masculine or feminine behavior of an individual that is defined by a particular culture and that is largely determined by a child's upbringing.

We narrowed our topic down to

How do young adults assess gender roles through entertainment media (print ads)

We're going to all bring a random magazine to the computer lab on monday and code the magazine based on a coding scheme that you create in your personal time before Monday.

This data will be used as a content analysis to compare the data from the experiment.
